Back in 2014 when TriHarderAR became more than just a figment of imagination for Captain Mike and a few ‘willing’ boards.ie members convinced themselves that they were up for it and committed to the Beast of Ballyhoura in 2014, people thought we were mad, a phase we were going through.
So did we.
We couldn’t see the staircase. Just the first step.
We didn’t know each other IRL (In Real Life) as they say and in all honesty probably thought this is just a dare, it’ll all be forgotten about and we’ll laugh it off.
If you have been following our story so far you know we didn’t forget about it, we did laugh, but not laugh it off, we trained and raced in 2014 together and quickly realised that we are a crew that take our racing seriously while being easy going about ourselves, we don’t take ourselves seriously at all – this is fun!
We blew through 2015 with some serious races under our collective belts and of course our experience at the Europeans was out of this world!
Life is one big adventure and we’re all along for the ride.

No, being moderately serious for a moment, we are looking to recruit new team members for training and racing. Not just for this year, we hope you’ll stick around, but no pressure.
We are aiming to place at minimum a mixed team of four at the highest level of racing in Ireland this year at ITERA in August and need to bring new members in for training weekends and a range of races through the early parts of the season.

We would like to kick off a training night in February which will be Saturday evening bike / hike through to Sunday kayak and then have regular monthly sessions like this and draw up an events list.
